Overview
InstantImpact Live is a self-service platform that gives small businesses, organizations, and individuals a complete online presence in a single sitting: a professionally designed website, their own domain, and working business email, live the same day. There is no page editor and no design tool to learn. Customers describe their business in conversation, and AI agents design the site with them, page by page, until it’s right. Customers can tap to edit text or replace a photo, and everything else happens by simply asking for it.
The problem
Most AI website builders produce a quick draft and then leave owners alone with an editor, a separate domain registrar, and an email setup they don’t understand. The site may take minutes, but getting fully online often takes weeks. InstantImpact Live handles the whole path, from registering the domain through setting up every mailbox in the customer’s own email apps, so nothing is left for the owner to configure.
My role
Founder, product owner, and lead designer. I defined the product, wrote and maintained its specification, made every product, pricing, and architecture decision, and directed an AI-driven development process in which AI agents handled system architecture and implementation under my direction. I also set the project’s engineering standards, including phone-first design, accessibility from day one, automated end-to-end testing at phone sizes, and a rule that all testing runs in free provider sandboxes.
Key features
The AI design conversation turns an owner’s description into site copy, a page plan, and finished pages, with three designs shown side by side to choose from. Revisions are made by request, including vague ones. Domains are registered and connected automatically, and the site keeps building while DNS propagates, so customers never wait. Business email is provisioned with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configured automatically. Customers own their domain and can leave at any time with their content and a copy of their site. Pricing, plan limits, and allowances are admin settings rather than hard-coded values, and the platform was built for internationalization from the start.
Technical stack
- Hosting: AWS (CloudFront SaaS Manager, S3, Lambda, Route 53), with access managed through AWS Organizations and IAM Identity Center
- Control plane: Laravel on PostgreSQL (Amazon RDS)
- Site renderer: TypeScript on Node 24 running on Lambda, with a Zod-based site definition contract that also generates the JSON Schema the AI writes against
- AI: Anthropic API (Claude) powering the intake, page planning, section building, and change agents
- Domains and email: OpenSRS (registration and Hosted Email)
- Payments: Stripe (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link)
- Security and analytics: Cloudflare Turnstile for form protection, PostHog in cookieless mode
- Quality: Vitest, Playwright, and axe-core, checking every generated site for WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility, tap target size, layout shift, and horizontal scrolling at 375px and 1280px
- Typography and localization: ten bundled open-license fonts with metric-matched fallbacks for zero layout shift; ICU message formatting via intl-messageformat
Results so far
In the AI feasibility phase, 51 of 51 benchmark pages met the publish standard, 94% of pages were generated in under 30 seconds, and a full design session cost about 30 cents in AI usage.
Status
In active development, with the public marketing site live and early access approaching.
